PREPOSITION (Preposisi)

Merupakan kata yang menentukan posisi kata benda. Terdapat 2 jenis preposisi yaitu :

• Preposition of Time (Preposisi yang menyatakan waktu)
• Preposition of Place (Preposisi yang menyatakan tempat)

Jenis-jenis Preposition of time :

In - he finished the project in one hour.
dia menyelesaikan projek nya dalam satu jam
through - she has been a busy woman through her whole life. 
dia telah menjadi wanita yang sibuk dimasa hidupnya

past or beyond - Rachel is now past or beyond the age of thirty. 
Rachel sekarang sudah lewat umur 30

on - I will expect you on Saturday next. 
saya mengharapkan kehadiranmu sabtu depan

at - cats stay up at night but retire at daybreak. 
kucing tidak tidur di malam hari tetapi akan tidur disaat fajar 

by - the sun shines by day, the moon by night. 
matahri terbit di pagi hari, bulan muncul di malam hari 

with - with the return of the rains the grass grows. 
saat hujan turun rumput akan tumbuh

over - Danny has arrived over three weeks. 
Danny telah tiba lebih dari tiga minggu

between - she arrived between two and five o'clock. 
dia tiba sekitar jam 2 lewat 5 

during - people wear a warm jacket during winter. 
orang-orang akan memakai jaket tebal saat musim dingin

till or until - they worked all day till sunset.

within - there has been three accident within three weeks.
